ABOUT 90 Proof Truth:
90 Proof Truth is about digging into the tough topics, the ones that most people don't really understand and that divide us as a nation. The topics that cause people to go to war with their neighbors, to break apart their families, and ruin Thanksgiving dinner. It's about putting that truth in front of people, even it it's hard to swallow. At 90 Proof Truth, I do the research to find the truth and put it into an easy to read, fact filled article, because what I've found is that when people know the truth, they generally do the right thing. ​

Throughout my life I have considered myself to be politically right of center. I grew up as a Reagan Republican, a skeptic of big government, a believer in the evils of both fascism and communism, and supporter of individual rights. I believe that the people in this country fundamentally believe in freedom and that there are more fundamental truths which bind us than divide us, and that the radicals on both ends must be kept at bay by the logical middle if our nation is to continue to thrive.

My background is in engineering and data analytics. I first got into public school politics as the treasurer on Prop R for the Mehlville School District before going on to serve six years on the Mehlville School Board, the last three as President. I have seen inside the system and had a front line view of the hatred that has permeated the Republican party I used to be a member of.

It has become too easy to sit on the sidelines and watch the political show. There have been times in the past 50 years where the level of freedom we had was challenged, but never since 1776 has actual freedom been challenged in this country, as it was on January 6, 2021. We are living in dangerous times and it is no longer safe for the political middle to be silent. This is the reason for this blog, to reach the political moderates. The people who believe in democracy and don't buy into the hyperbole of the fringe left or right. With these shot blogs, I hope to put my time to good use in researching some of the most important and divisive topics of today, to help bring this knowledge to the people who will decide to get involved or continue to sit on the sidelines.
